Midpoint Reflection

My internship has been different from what I expected. I thought that it would be a hard job because I was nervous about working with homeless people. Would those people hurt me or would they be rude to me? Now I feel happy and enjoy helping my clients.

My internship workplace environment is both similar and different to my school. The similarity is that both at my school and at my internship workplace people are friendly and respect each other. The difference is that sometimes some of the customers don't show us respect and our school when parents come they are always respectful.

Some new skills that I learned I can apply to other job are communication and language skills because I have to ask questions and explain information to my clients.

My relationship with my mentor is friendly because I feel comfortable to ask her about everything.I also friendly with my co-workers so I have a good relationship with everyone in my site.

As the result of interacting with professional adults I feel more confident to ask questions and share ideas.

MY English improved since beginning internship by talking to my co-workers and the clients. Sometimes they don't understand me because of my accent and I speak too fast so I learned to repeat to make myself clear. And my co-worker also helps me with my pronunciation.

It's hard to do my homework on time because the schedule is too short so sometimes I do some on the train while I am going to my internship.

One thing I want to work on in the next six weeks is to make sure I finish all my hours. I also want to do my homework on time.
